3rd Annual PRSSA Networking Dinner

IMG_1224Hofstra University’s PRSSA chapter held their 3rd annual Networking Dinner in the Business Development Center of the Axinn Library. It is a fund-raising event that brings Public Relations professionals from the Long Island and Manhattan to connect them with students. Through the event professionals can educate them on different aspects of public relations and/ or provide internship opportunities.

The event began with a brief introduction of each professional then students got up from the tables to mingle. Students also discussed with their peers about internships they have had in result of attending previous networking dinners. It was an opportunity for everyone to learn about each other make connections, and enjoy the food.

IMG_1191There was a large turnout this year. Professor Frisina counted about 90 people in the BDC. It was successful and wouldn’t be possible without the food donations from local businesses and eateries across the area and the professionals that took time out of their day to attend.

Thanks to Lindsay Gilchrist, Stephanie Grabbe and their committee for throwing the event.

Here is the list of the professionals that attended the event:

Eleanor Banco from Teen Vogue
Pamela Fischbein from Merchants Hospitality
Briana Samuels from Business Development Group
Robert Einhorn from M. Silver & Associates

Colleen Bowler from Zimmerman-Edelson, Inc.
Blain Howards from Bender/ Helper Impact
